Hello my name is Erene Soliman. I became involved with Raising Our Children in order to serve the community by providing a creative outlet in which children, adolescents, and their parents can find positive, healthy resources in handling stressful situations. Growing up as a child, adolescent, and adult, I am aware of the importance of having a strong support system and I hope that I may share my talents and skills to aid with instilling strength within children and adolescents.

I am in my final internship year of the doctoral program at the Adler School of Professional Psychology. My specialty of interest is in the area of neuropsychology. I am currently conducting individual and group therapy at the Gary Cannon Psychological Services Center in Fresno, California. My focus in group therapy is to provide psychoeducation as well as to teach adaptive skills in handling conflict appropriately with individuals that are court-mandated to complete the Batterer’s Intervention Program. In addition, I conduct psychological evaluations for the Department of Juvenile Probation.

In terms of my clinical experience, I have worked as a neuropsychology practicum student at Advocate Christ Medical Center in which I have conducted neuropsychological assessment with individuals that presented to the Rehabilitative Department. I worked with an interdisclipinary team and consulted with multiple professionals to aid with rehabilitation care for individuals presenting with psychiatric symptoms that also experienced cerebrovascular accidents, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, as well as individuals presenting with dementia. My therapy experience as a doctoral therapy practicum student was at the Associates in Behavioral Science. I conducted individual therapy as well as group therapy with adults with acute and chronic mental illnesses. My assessment experience was at Tinley Park Mental Health Center in which I conducted psychological evaluations with individuals that were inpatient psychiatrically hospitalized. I have also conducted individual therapy with adolescents and their family members at Will County Youth Services Program.

My work experience has constituted a variety of diverse clinical populations. I have worked as a behavioral analyst at Glenkirk for 3 years working with individuals that are developmentally disabled. My focus was to educate staff members on how to interact and manage the behaviors in an appropriate manner as well as to design interventions that were appropriate for each client. I have also worked as an intake counselor for GlenOaks Hospital in which I facilitated inpatient psychiatric hospitalizations with individuals that presented to the Emergency Room at GlenOaks as well as within surrounding hospitals. In addition, I have received experience administering neuropsychological assessments to children and adolescents at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
