My name is Julie Jackson & I am the Founder and President of Raising Our Children. I have 4 years of experience as a Children’s Counselor at a Domestic Violence agency.  I also have experience as a Family Therapist who has worked with children with Disruptive Behavior Disorders.  I have my Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology, my Master’s of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and I am finishing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

I have worked in a church setting, private clinics, a therapeutic day school, a nonprofit agency, and a university setting. I have a passion for working with children and teens to help them with their struggles in life.

I envision ROC to be a community center that offers many services such as parenting classes and counseling and programs such as mentoring, tutoring, and arts. I had the opportunity to attend a public performing arts school where I specialized in dance and photography. I know the joys of experiencing the arts and the power that it has on enriching one’s life and I hope to share that in our community center.

I am very thankful to all of the Staff of ROC because without them, we would not exist. I thank my higher power, my family, friends, and loved ones for believing in me and believing in ROC. And I thank you for your time in reading about what I am dedicating my life to.
