Noy joined Raising our Children early in its development.  When founder Julie Jackson first described her ideas to him over lunch, he knew that he wanted to play a part in its growth and development.  He now serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the organization.  Noy wholeheartedly believes in the mission of Raising our Children and as one of the mission’s writers, he feels honored to be a part of such an organization.

Noy brings with him over 10 years of social service and nonprofit experience working mostly with adults, and some work with children and adolescents, who have experienced emotional, psychological and behavioral problems such as depression, anxiety, alcohol and drug use, identity issues, sexuality issues, adjustment, stress, grief and loss.  He’s worked with the special needs of the LGBTQ community, formerly incarcerated, homeless, unemployed, developmentally delayed, and those who have experienced career changes, school problems, and other major life challenges and transitions.  He has held many positions as an administrator, director, supervisor, clinician and volunteer.  He has developed and directed various programs working with professionals at all levels including members of the board, volunteers and interns.

Noy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Certified Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC).  He is in private practice with offices in Evanston and Chicago, and also serves as the Director of Supportive Services for a non-profit agency in Chicago and is an adjunct faculty member at St. Augustine College where he teaches courses in Psychology and Substance Abuse Counseling.  He holds a Master’s degree in Addiction Studies and a Certificate in Counseling and Psychotherapy with the LGBT Community and Their Families.  He is at the end of his doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology at the Adler School of Professional Psychology.

Even with his demanding schedule, Noy makes it a priority to spend quality time with family and friends.  He enjoys traveling, ethnic foods, and watching “I Love Lucy”.  He is always open to trying new things and believes that persistence leads to success.
